Celebrate Oct #1

I know I'm a day late but I feel blessed to have lots of things to celebrate :)  so I am joining in with the Celebrate crowd
You can too - just ask Lexa to add you to the list if you want to be visited but by all means go and check out what all these people are celebrating this week :)  Lexa is also doing a special giveaway and HORROR blog hop too if you want to check her blog page out too.

1)  The fine weather is continuing so I have been busy gardening and really enjoying this sunshine - everyone is SO much happier and it is lovely to meet everyone with a smile on their face - where ever I go I seem to have Louis Armstrong's What a Wonderful World playing along in my head :)

2)  My walking group is continuing to grow and it is really pleasing to see everyone joining in and having fun.  I am so pleased I started it :)

3)  I passed my First Aid course so am now officially qualified to give First Aid - this is just in case anything untoward happens on one of my walks!!  Hopefully, nothing ever will!

4)  I got hold of two hardback books this week that I have been wanting to read for the amazing price of just £1 each!!!  I just love a good book bargain :)

5)  Finally, I am celebrating the return of Once Upon A Time (my DD just re-subscribed to Netflix)which I have to confess is one of my favourites - I get a bit swoony over Hook!!  So will be able to watch episodes on those autumnal nights - lovely :)

I'd love to know what you have to celebrate and now I'm off to check out what everyone lse has been up to.  Have a great weekend :)

  2. This is great news all around. I wish I had a group that walked where I live. It's a wonderful idea of yours and so smart of you to take a First Aid course too. Yay for fall - the weather, the smiles, and the TV shows! Have a lovely weekend! :)

  4. I also love a good book bargain, and many times I found myself in shops where I bought lovely books for anything between £1 and £3. And £1 for a hardback is a really good bargain and if it's a book you want it's even sweeter. I usually spend £0.99 for Kindle books.

I try avoid bookshops like Waterstones because I simply cannot resist and end up buying books irrespective of whether I have time to read them or not. I'm devising a plan to streamline my reading because currently it's suffering.

You had a lovely week indeed and congratulations for your First Aid certificate. I hope you have a serene and lovely weekend. :D

  5. Congratulations on all the wonderful things to celebrate. I know what you mean about the nice weather. We went out for a lovely autumn walk yesterday and it was fantastic to see all the leaves changing colour and the air felt all nice and crisp.

Well done on the First Aid course as well, you never know when that's going to be needed. And I love a good book bargain too. :-)

  8. Hello! So many lovely things to celebrate (coincidently, my blog post yesterday was 10 things to be thankful for! Very apt!). I'd like to see Once upon a time.xx

  9. Well hi! I was pleased to meet you over at my blog. That walking group has given me some inspiration. I may try something similar here :) I usually walk alone. Thanks for the Louis Armstrong song. Happy to have that playing in my head today. Also....hubby and I love the Once....series. We make fun of 'Charming' a lot and love what they've done with the rest of the characters.

  11. Lovely celebrations. My ukulele group is learning to play 'What a wonderful world', but I'm not sure we're doing it justice yet.
