Happiness?

I came across Patricia's
linky as I was visiting blogs in the Celebrate blog hop and her creativity starting point was -

“Happiness is not a station you arrive at, but a manner of traveling.”
Margaret Lee Runbeck
Use the quote or the author as inspiration;
post a story…fiction or non-fiction,
a poem, a commentary, opinion or a picture.
Or use any word from the quote as a starting point.
Just write!

As only the other day, EvalinaMaria in her blog post -

http://evalinamaria.blogspot.co.uk/2016/05/color-of-kindness.html

was posing the question what colour do you see when you think of kindness?  I seemed to be drawn towards the colour yellow or a light orange as to me both being happy and being kind are very much linked.

Thinking about it, Mr Happy was yellow -

and as this poster depicts

in orange and yellow - others are obviously on my wave length too!!

So weaving the quote and the thought that acts of kindness often seem to bring some of the greatest happiness, I have gone with creating a little happy caravan that can travel along the happy road hopefully bring kindness to others along the way :)

If you'd like to join in too and the quote has inspired something in you, why not press on Patricia's In Other Words button at the top of this post and link up with her!  You can also leave me a comment about what makes you happy or what colours happiness or kindness makes you think of?

  1. These are the things that make me happy: my family, my dogs, the laughter of children, eating stuff right from the garden, a container of fresh picked blueberries, being in nature, snow falling outside and I am warm and comfy inside, thrift stores and garage sales, hikes with my dog, reading a good book, connecting with my family on facebook, mint chocolate ice cream. Shoot I can go on forever. It makes me feel good to know there are so many things that make me happy. For me, my happy colors are red and blue. Red because it is such a predominant color in my homeland (Norway). When I see red, I think of Christmas, Norway, my mother who wore a lot of red, hearts and love. When I see blue, I am reminded of blue skies and sunny days which always make me happy.

    1. So many things, Jannike and lots of them I totally agree :) I like your reasons for your choice of happy colours - it is always interesting to learn about our differences as well as what we have in common. Thanks for stopping by and thank you so much for contributing to my Nordic walking project blog and FB page too - that was so cool to have a comment there all the way from the USA!!!!
