This week I am celebrating:
- My little kitty-cat returning fit and well after surgery as she went to the vet to be spayed and micro-chipped at 6 months (give or take a couple of weeks as we'll never know for sure having been found abandoned). The vet told me that she might be off her food and to tempt her with just a little cooked chicken which I duly did and she wolfed that down. I decided to go upstairs to do something and not over stuff her little tummy only to find five minutes later the bedroom door being pushed open and Kitty-Cat carrying a foil packet of her Whiskas kitten food in with her which she dropped at my feet. So obviously as right as rain I'd say!!
- Finding Bargains - I'm not too into the January Sales shopping experience but I do like the odd bargain and this week I picked up this brand new pair of quirky shoes that had been donated to a charity shop for only £3 - yes that's right £3!!
- I am also celebrating the removal of the Christmas tree finally (everything should have been removed by the 6th Jan!!) by my husband who needed a set of hedge clippers plus a saw to dismember it whilst in the sitting room because of its size. Unfortunately, he still sees it as the most successful tree by far whilst I would like next year's to be at least a metre shorter!!
Now I'm off to find out what everyone else has been up to. Have you found any great bargains this week? Have animals behaved? Any mishaps over Christmas? I'd love to know!!
Glad your kitty's recovering well.
ReplyDeleteI love the shoes!
Thanks for stopping by, Kelly :)
DeleteGlad you kitty is well. That is one smart kitty! (Does she secretly think she's a dog? I mean . . . bringing you the kibbles bag!)
ReplyDeleteI love those shoes! Nice buy! Have a great week-end.
She certainly does have her "dog" moments - she'll play fetch with a ball too! Thought you might like the shoes :)
DeleteYour kitty is beautiful, glad to hear she came through her op okay. Great find on the shoes as well. One of my favourite bargains is a pair of brand new trainers for £6 (though the copy of Lord of the Rings for £1.39 which turned out to be worth nearly £100 is also a big favourite too, hehe).
ReplyDeleteWe've finally cleared away the Christmas stuff as well. The house does feel kind of empty now though.
Yes I don't think I'll come close to your Lord of the Rings find but it does feel good to snap up a proper bargain and something you really want! I am still getting use to the size of the room now that Godzilla the Christmas tree has left!!
DeleteYour kitty is adorable, always a good sign if they want their food I say. I do love a bargain, although I haven't done much sale shopping this year.
ReplyDeleteI think after all the energy spent at Christmas I feel too tired to go out and do battle on Boxing Day and New Year!
DeleteGlad to hear your kitty is doing well-she's so cute! I was able to pick up a pair of new shorts for a $1 for my daughter this last week. She gave me the oddest look when I told her to put them in her closet.
ReplyDeleteYes these children just don't realise us mums are always looking ahead knowing full well someone's going to need new things - mine do the same :)
DeleteKudos on the spaying and chipping. You're a responsible pet mom. And that is just too sweet that she brought you her packet of food:)
ReplyDeleteI still don't know why she was abandoned by her mum - maybe she just had an insatiable appetite?!!
DeleteAwww...your kitty is adorable. Glad all went well. Our tree is also finally down and decorations packed away. But I always seem to find little things I forgot to pack away....
ReplyDeleteThat is SO me and this year it was a poor little card from Germany left all lonesome on the top shelf until the 8th!!
DeleteWhat a sweet little kitten. We have no pets at this house. A big fish aquarium with only one goldfish and one 'sucker' fish. I got Christmas all put away this weekend too. With the help of one son and three grandchildren!! Those shoes are quite interesting. I wear only Crocs. All the time now that I am retired
ReplyDeleteHi Paula. Glad you had some help to pack everything away as it can be such a big task to do all on one day. Lots of nursing staff over here in the UK wear crocs because they are such a comfortable and easy shoe to clean :)
