there are some wonderful writers out there who contribute regularly to this linky and I often find their words really resonate with me so it's well worth a read even if you don't want to be inspired to write yourself - but you'll be tempted - I guarantee it!!
Here's my submission for this week's theme
HOPE
To hope is to be human
To want things to change for the better
To believe that good can finally conquer evil
To dream that we accomplish the impossible
To nurture new life and send it out into the world
To face the challenges before us
To comfort all in times of illness
To hold onto in our darkest hour
To wish for peace for the next generation
I think my inspiration is coming yet again from the awful scenes in Syria and also wishing for a miracle cure for illness and disease that robs us of our loved ones.
Thank you for reading :)
This is lovely. It's so simple, but then again sometimes it's the simplest things that can be hardest to make reality.
ReplyDeleteYou mention Syria inspiring you, but this could have been written during any number of wars in any number of countries around the world.
yes it is rather depressing to think of just how many wars are still raging - and for what?
DeleteLovely words indeed. I wish you a peaceful and happy week x
ReplyDeleteThank you, Fil. It's lovely to hear from you again and see the pictures from your last tour just back from Scotland :)
DeleteI love this! Without hope life would be very, very hard!
ReplyDeleteYes - at times hope is all we have, isn't it? But it can make all the difference!
DeleteSo, so true. What wonderfully positive words. This is exactly what hope should be. Thank you so much for sharing with #ThePrompt, lovely to have you join in again x
