Q is for Quixotic Quidditch

 Quivering Quintains, Quixotic Quidditch,
Quiz Questions, Quality Quiche
All occur in the school hall.

School halls are normally the place where daily assembly takes place, school dinners are eaten or indoor gym class goes on. But they are also the place where school gathers for exciting events; to see entertaining visitors maybe from centuries long ago, watch a class perform to see what they have been learning that half term, to cheer on their school quiz panel or have a cookery demonstration.

What can you remember taking place in your school hall that was exciting?  Did you enjoy indoor gym?  Were you on the quiz team?

  1. We used to have school concerts. I was asked to play the piano many a time.
    Really enjoyed you "Q" post.

    1. That sounds really lovely and obviously shows you were considered talented by your teachers and peers :) Do you still perform for others?

    1. Well I did say it was quixotic - not sure it would have been recognised by the "real" quidditch association!

  3. I always liked musical presentations. Hated pep rallies. And that still holds true today.
    Good Q post

    1. Thanks, Joanne. I'm not sure I've ever been to a pep rally - wonder if we have an equivalent here in the UK?

  5. That sounds rather like schools I attended except only one had a gallery which was when I was a teacher and school lunches were served up there!

  6. Our auditorium in high school was transformed to this thing of beauty for our junior prom. I remember walking into the school and not recognizing the place! Such crazy memories. And in less than a month, my daughter will be going to her junior prom! Man, I feel old! :)
