Earth Day and do what you can!
As Eco Co-ordinator for my school, I used to love the initiatives for Earth Day and the challenges I would set the children to celebrate the 22nd April.
What will you be doing for Planet Earth? Click on the link above for ideas :)
Here in the UK it's cloudy but no doubt will find something to do with Earth Day.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day. Great "S2 post.
Yvonne.
Thank you :) Enjoy your day too, Yvonne!
DeleteGray and dreary in PA. I shall not litter.
ReplyDeleteWe actually had a much sunnier day than forecast here in England so I was out gardening :)
DeleteThanks for visiting my blog on Earth Day! I enjoyed your post as well. Keep up the good work and have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteLovely to have you over, Diane :)
DeleteThanks for visiting my blog. And thanks for reminding me it's Earth Day! I had forgotten. I will celebrate by trying to get my own house in order.
ReplyDeleteNice to see you here, Carolyn :) No cars were driven in this household today!
DeleteEven though it is chilly today, the heating is off!
ReplyDeleteHappy Earth Day.

Well done - it all makes a difference if we work together :)
DeleteIt's a dreary, rainy day. I won't be outdoors but hopefully next week I want to plant some marigold seeds. Thanks for stopping by today for Art Sketching Through the Alphabet “S” (Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs). Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure your marigolds will look lovely, Cathy. I hope to be planting seeds tomorrow after I've finished digging the earth over again today :)
DeleteWe've enjoyed the sun a bit today. Out in the garden with the dog a few times and I'm taking advantage of the sun to get some laundry outside.
ReplyDeleteAnd it's been warm enough to have the heating off for most of the day as well. Hopefully we can come to some sort of arrangement with the Earth whereby we get a little more warm spring weather, and we'll use less energy keeping our house from turning into an ice box. ;-)

Yes I can imagine for you way up there it can still be a bit "parky" - as we have had boiler problems recently we've thanked God for the unseasonably warmer weather we've had during April :)
DeleteI didn't do a good job of celebrating Earth day today, as I was out of town, but I have spent prior Earth Days doing gardening. One year, I bought a compost heap. Another year, I tended my worms (which I no longer have). The Unknown Journey Ahead agingonthespectrum.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteEarth Day helps us think about our planet but I am sure Bookworm you do many things throughout the year to help make a difference :)
DeleteSpent much of the day riding my bike (which was for me, not for the earth, really). But I keep fit so that I can bike all sorts of places normal people drive, so I try to be good to our mother every day!

Sounds good to me :)
DeleteA very thoughtful post . I didn't know it was Earth day yesterday till I read A-Z posts, including yours. I should be so ashamed . Indeed, a little each day goes a long way . Thanks for the inspiring post
ReplyDeleteBest wishes

Lovely to have you over, Moon :)
ReplyDeleteI wish I could do something for Mother Earth.
ReplyDeleteIt was a touchy post and made me feel a bit guilty too
A Peice Of My Life
I try to do something daily for the earth, such as recycling. Later this summer after the graduation and birthday parties we are planning a small solar grid installation to reduce our power dependence.
ReplyDeleteI do what I can and keep trying to do more!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my A-Z Shoes!
