This week I did not lose any weight - however the good news is I did not put any on either! This was despite the not very good meals I had over the weekend plus it was pancake day yesterday. On the positive side I did increase my exercise this week and began running again seriously - well I mean walk/jog really - as well as do some Nordic walking for an hour and a half on Sunday so I certainly feel healthier!!
I will be looking for some actual weight loss next week as I learn the lessons of this week mainly try to forget my up-bringing of not wasting food - which is difficult but CAN be done!

DeleteThanks for posting such a beautiful piece of post because obesity and over weight are the major two factors which has been faced by the present generation youngsters and teen agers. The very main reason for such diseases is because of their way of living. Yes, in present generation, none of the youngsters, teen age persons and adults are not ready to spend any body work, all are willing to work under AC's. Including myself, yes, myself too having the obesity problem as i have been working as a research paper writer in one of the leading online research paper writing website, myself too has been working hard to reduce my body weight a lot but failure is the result which has been getting frequently. So, it is in their hands to maintain their body in a fit manner.
ReplyDeleteYou're quite right when you say that as adults we must take responsibility for our health and eating habits. But I think, we also need to act responsibly towards children and young people and help educate them and maybe reduce the time they spend playing computer games or watching TV by involving them in sports and fitness pursuits and provide them with healthier meals?
DeleteGood luck for your next weigh in.
ReplyDeleteI found I was able to lose weight over Christmas by getting out walking a lot more and cutting out fizzy drinks. Cutting out lemonade brings my weight down by quite a few pounds over about two weeks but then it sort of levels out.
Right now I'm trying to cut out on snacking at work. I did so well not to snack while I was off over Christmas but back at work there's a vending machine which just calls to me!
Thanks Click and I can't believe I CAN actually live without Diet Coke!! Who'd have thought it? I find the prices on vending machines make them prohibitively expensive so normally I can resist but I certainly wouldn't want to have one in view daily!!
DeleteWell done on maintaining this week and good luck for your next weigh in x
ReplyDeleteThanks Rebecca - it is so nice to be part of a caring group which does make it so much easier to continue on track with eating healthier :)
DeleteHope you are having a better week chick - no idea what Nordic walking is, I do need to look into it. I am sure you will have had a better week - even to maintain weight is ridiculously hard, look to the positives! Portion control definitely helps but I know what you mean, I had to finish everything on my plate as a child and it is hard to get over there! Thank you for linking up with #WeightLossWednesday and hope you can join in again this week! Sim xx
