Celebrate #3

It's so simple to join in with this lovely weekly get together hosted by Lexa Cain so why not join the fun yourself and press the button below?

My reasons to celebrate this week are:

1.  The snowdrops are out in my garden and they look so beautiful.  I am now wondering if the bulbs I planted last year will come up this spring - no signs yet.

2.  My revision is going well - I think - just another week left so I am going back over everything hoping some more will stick and I will get more confident before the exam.  No doubt those awful exam nightmares will kick in some time this week - so any suggestions for a good night's sleep will be most welcome :)

3. More new people coming Nordic walking and really feeling the benefit.  It is such a good feeling to know you've enabled someone to walk twice as far as they have in a very long time, enjoyed talking with new people and have got to feel really proud of themselves and what they've accomplished.

This week, Lexa has been asking about housework - I think this pretty much sums up my thoughts on the subject!!
Here's hoping you all had a lot more in your life to celebrate than housework - you know I'd love to know what you've been doing so leave me a comment below :)

  2. Love your comic about housework! It took me a while to realize your "revision" wasn't editing a book! lol Good luck on the exam, and congrats on how well your Nordic walking group is doing! Have a lovely weekend!

    1. Yes - it's yet another instance of how words can mean so many different things without the correct context! Loved your housework theme this week - resonated perfectly with me!!

  3. I guess I am a bit dull right now. Early in a new year I always do clean outs. That will slack off soon. Happy for your writing and walking. Sounds like all is good. I went to PA for a week to help my dad. It was an excellent visit. Take care and celebrate your time.

    1. I think it's more the grind of hoovering, washing up and dusting that is the boring bit - sorting things out and getting things organised or a bit more space always gives back that satisfaction of a job well done - the other household chores just spring back in your face the very next day!!

  4. I love that sign!Snowdrops are beautiful aren't they? I have a few clumps in my garden and I always look forward to seeing them push up. Good luck with the exam, have you tried chamomile tea to help you sleep?

    1. Many thanks for the tip about the tea - I do have some in my cupboard for a friend when she comes round for a cuppa - I might give it a try :)

  5. For good sleep, try some lavender oil on your pillow. it helps! And if you can have a relaxing bath before you get into bed, even better.

  6. I spotted the snowdrops outside our house last week. Now there's dozens of them. I hope your bulbs come up too. :-)

And good luck with the revision and the exam. I've been finding when I can't sleep two things help send me off. One thing I do is tell myself a story, I have a couple of stories I've been using for years. The other thing is picture a place and walk around it, taking in all the details (at the moment it's the Ravenclaw common room). It helps to switch my brain off from whatever it keeping me awake and allows me to drift off.

The snowdrops are a joy - I hope all your other bulbs come up. I always forget what I've planted so it's a nice surprise in Spring.
Good luck with the exam - you'll be brilliant. Fil

  10. Our hellebores are just peeking out from the ground. Spring won't be long. Love the housework joke. Oh yes, we must be related!

  11. Oh thank goodness. I am so far from dull I am positively sparkling. (But my house isn't.)

No flowers around here. We got snow instead of snow drops!
