This week I am celebrating starting and doing some new things for 2016
So far in 2016 I have -
- managed to watch for the first time ever ALL of It's a Wonderful Life.
- I have joined the Goodreads 2016 Challenge and added the widget to this blog having seen others during 2015 slowly complete theirs and talk about the books they have been reading I decided to give it a go too :) As it is the holiday season, I have been able to find time to snuggle up with a number of book pressies and read to my heart's content without feeling guilty - yipee!! I have already managed to finish two books so am well on my way to the target I set myself and they have both been well worth a read - To Catch a Rabbit and The Boy Who Never Was.
- We saw in the New Year with new friends made this year and it is so nice to think back to how many more people I now know since moving and how friendly everyone has been - it was such a good decision we made despite how nervous I was!
- This post is my second for January this year and looking back it appears that this is the first time I seem to have posted anything in January in preceding years! Hopefully, this means I will be able to accomplish one of my goals of posting something for each month of 2016 and completing 120+ posts during the course of the year - fingers crossed!
I'd love to know the books you're reading or what goals you've set yourself? Have you watched any classic films for the first time over the holiday season?
But now I'm off to catch up with what the others are celebrating :)
Hi, there, thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting. I enjoyed It's a Wonderful Life, too. I always liked Jimmy Stewart. Right now I am revising some Nancy Drew books I read years ago, and I recently read Kate Morton's The Secret Keeper, an absolutely fabulous book full of layered mysteries that keep unfolding to the very end.ReplyDelete
I used to love Nancy Drew (I borrowed them from the library) and on my reading list is Kate Morton's book The House at Riverton so hopefully it'll be a good one!Delete
Happy New Year! I appreciate your visit (smile) abundant blessings and enjoy your weekend!ReplyDelete
Lovely to have you visit my blog too, Ann and hope you have a good weekend as well :)Delete
Happy New Year!ReplyDelete
I never used to like It's a Wonderful Life when I was younger, but it's grown on me as I've gotten older and now it's a holiday staple. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Happy New Year to you too :) I know you're a bit of a film buff so I expect there are loads of classic films you've seen and reviewed!!Delete
It's great that you've made so many friends since you moved. Good luck on the GR goal and all your goals in 2016! There's always lots of encouragement on the blogosphere! :)ReplyDelete
Yes as a collective group I think we manage to help one another quite well and that's what I'm counting on!!Delete
Two books already! You will succeed! I can't wait to see what you are reading. I still haven't seen It's a Wonderful Life!ReplyDelete
I always like your critiques of books you have read, Paula and hope to share some of mine this year :)Delete
